What is Honor Guard?
The U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) program called "Honoring Those Who Served" provides Military Funeral Honors for eligible veterans. Honors typically consist of two or more uniformed service members folding and presenting a U.S. burial flag to the family, and playing of Taps.
What is Color Guard?
Primary purpose of the Color Guard is to present the National Colors at a presentation or ceremony. The Color Guard is a group of four VFW Members that present the United States and State flags at games and ceremonies. Presenting the Colors is a military tradition dating back to the beginning of our country.
